Packet Pick Up and Expo
The Packet Pick-up and Expo will be from 9am to 6pm Saturday October 10th, at the Host Hotel. The Spring Hill Suites, 424 E. Parkcenter Blvd. Boise Idaho 83706. Event souvenirs, race supplies, apparel, and food will be available at the expo. There will also be people on hand to explain the course routes. There will be limited packet distribution on race day, so please try to attend the 9 hour window of availability to pick up your packet SATURDAY. Packets not picked up Saturday October 10th will be made available before the start of the race October 11th. Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets and timing chips Saturday as the window for problem solving is tight prior to the race.

The City Of Trees Marathon events are USATF certified courses, and the marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier. Chips will be used to assure accurate timing, you must wear a chip to be timed in the events. The chip must be returned immediately following the races to avoid any fees associated with the un-returned chip. The course will be marked with signs, and mile markers. The course utilizes the Greenbelt walking, bike, and running path. There will be water stations located within miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 22 and 24. Sports Drinks and other replenishments will be offered within miles 4, 10, 14, 19, and 24. Gel will be offered at Mile 20. It’s always a wise decision to pack your own replenishments to ensure you have the packet when you need it.

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finishers for Male and Female in each race. Age Division awards will given to the top three in each 10 year age group. Only one award will be given to the deserving participant, ie if you are a 45 year old male who was the overall winner, you will get the overall award, someone else will get the 40-49 age group award.
Apparel and Medals
The first 800 people to register will receive a grey fleece three quarter zip running jacket made by WindShirt with embroidered City Of Trees Logo. (depending on size availability) Once we run out of jackets, participants will receive a long sleeve technical fabric shirt. Unique finisher medals will be given to finishers for both the half and the full marathon.

Ben Towne Foundation, Boise Chapter (Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation) Ben Towne Foundation’s mission is to accelerate innovative research at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research…until a cure is found. 100% of contributions to Ben Towne Foundation are invested in groundbreaking research designed to harness the body’s own defense system to eliminate cancer. This technique of genetically re-engineering an individual’s T cells promises a future of cancer cures without the devastating side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Recently it was announced that the first patient treated in cellular immunotherapy phase 1 clinical trial is now cancer free. Ben Towne Foundation Boise Chapter was established in 2012, with the mission to raise awareness about childhood cancers and the need for more funding, and to raise money to help make sure a cure is found – sooner, and with much less harm to children’s bodies!
