Dry Creek Half Marathon
Saturday April 3rd, 2010
10:00 am
Community Park in Front of The Merc
Hidden Springs, Idaho
Half Marathon
The course starts and finishes near the Merc in the town square of Hidden Springs. The race starts next to the fire house and travels down the back roads of the subdivision to almost an immediate hill climb, and then follows the ridges of the foothills South of town. The first major descent takes you back to the road. Once on the road it opens up for another hill climb to the foothills once again on the North side of town. The trail makes it’s way through some very challenging rolling peaks finally to hook back up with the road that will take you on a scenic tour back through town, to the finish.
The race would have to be described as challenging, but full of beautiful desert scenery. The Hidden Springs Community is the perfect back drop for this soon to be local “must run” event.
Come Join us for the fifth year of this event. The course will be beautiful, and the park like setting for the race finish will be exciting for spectators and racers alike.
A link to the unofficial course map is located here:

(this is a very rough cut map, it’s not easy to create a map of this course because of the trails being somewhat under developed, or being single track from satellite.
Alternative Course (if the trails are too muddy to use)

Jeff, a great run last Sat. Thanks for your great crew and organization! All my fears of getting lost were unfounded. Were there any carabiners left? I didn’t get one, and they are so much more utilitarian than a medal. P.S. I found my car keys afterwards–YAY!!
Sherry, I have no idea, you might ask Idahosportspics.com. Did you look in the lost and found? I see the couple that finished close to last place, just not sure who I’m looking for.
Jeff
Just curious, did the person taking the photos leave after a set time? There are no pictures of the people in the back.
Wendy, the site at idahosportpics should be ready tonight for tomorrow. I just assumed it would be the same naming convention as used before. Should be soon.
Thanks,
Jeff
Jeff and organizers, this was such a fun race: hard, but everyone was friendly and you were so well organized with everything. Thank you!!!
Question for you: I wanted to look at photos for this race, and found that the 2010 link on this website leads you to the 2009 photos. Are the 2010 photos not yet available? Thanks again! Wendy
Sorry the results or at http://www.bluecirclesports.com, in the lower right hand corner, OR you can click on 2010 results above.
Had a wonderful run and experience regardless of the alternative route due to weather. All my gratitude to the organizers & volunteers who made this race a positive experience. If anyone knows where the race results are or will be posted, I would be grateful. Cheers! Lisa W.
Jeff & crew – amazing run, difficult course, awesome volunteers. I woke up Saturday morning and decided to run this event…well, run is subjective, I did my share of walking. Even succumbed to a cold beer before the Big Bertha ascent. Tough, tough course and thanks for the little green markers – they helped!
