Course Description

The Course starts and finishes at the Gem County Fairgrounds, in Emmett Idaho. It should be cold, it should be hard, but it should be great! Beat old man winter, or Mr. Feezeout by taking on the challenge of both the environment and the hill. The loop course is a 12K just slightly over seven miles, and the short course (no Freezeout Hill) is just under four miles. Both courses are challenging but they are great runs for training for other events and for trail running. While on the county roads in Emmett the course will “Follow the Rules of the Road” running on the right with traffic, however the roads used aren’t very populated nor busy, and Old Freezeout will be closed to the public.

The Elevation at the start is approximately 2205 Ft above sea level, and climbs just under 578 Ft before turning around for the descent.

Aid Stations

We will have one aid station supplying two miles of the race. The aid station at Cowboy Bridge on Old Freezeout Rd will cover mile 2 for the short run and long run. It will also serve as a transition for the races as the long run goes up the hill, and the short run takes the canal bank at that spot in the race. It will also serve mile 4.5 on the way down the hill for the long run as they transition to the same canal bank used by the short run. Emmett Baseball staff’s this station, and is the benefactor of the event.

Packet Pick Up

(Depending on registrations, if we get enough to have a pre race event, we will contact you).

Awards

Awards will be given to the top five overall Male and Female finishers.
Prizes will be awarded during the Awards presentation

The technical fabric shirts will be available at the Packet Pick-up Saturday. They will be passed out post race to pre-registered participants first. Late registrants and day of registration people are not guaranteed a shirt at the finish and may have to pick their shirt up at a later date. All races are non-refundable, non-transferable.
