Start Time 7:30am (gives us a chance to beat the heat)

Starts From Hawks Memorial Stadium. (5600 Glenwood Garden City Idaho 83714)

The races will be started in waves from the same location. NO DOGS ALLOWED INSIDE THE STADIUM.

Course Description

The Race course is an out and back greenbelt (paved path) course. The river will cool and the shade of the trees will protect runners for most of the course. The course starts in the parking lot at Hawks Memorial Stadium, east onto the greenbelt at the access point by the Glenwood Bridge. The course continues east into Julia Davis Park on the North side of the greenbelt, and then back again. Perfect Bench marks for the Payette Lake Runs and the City Of Trees Marathon Events.

Half Marathon- Start Time 7:30am

The course starts in the parking lot in front of Hawks Memorial Stadium. The turn around for the half marathon is in Julia Davis Park at the marker NE 0.7. There are water stations on course for the half marathon at miles 1.5 by the Lake Harbor Access to the Green Belt, Mile 4, by clock tower pond and the Pleasanton Access to the Greenbelt, mile 6 in Julia Davis Park by the band shell. Mile 7 in the same spot on the way back, mile 9 by clock tower pond, and then 11.5 by Lake Harbor. Water and Elete will be offered at all water Stations. The course finishes at home plate of Hawks Memorial Stadium, via the parking lot entrance in left field/3rd base.

10K- Start Time 7:40am

The course starts in the parking lot in front of Hawks Memorial Stadium. The turn around for the 10k is NW 2.7, just past the bridge. The water stations for the 10K are at miles 1.5 and 4.5. Water and Elete will be offered at all water Stations. The course finishes at home plate of Hawks Memorial Stadium, via the parking lot entrance in left field/3rd base.

5k- Start Time 7:50am

The course starts in the parking lot in front of Hawks Memorial Stadium. The turn around for the 5k is NW 4.3 by the Rock Wall. There is the water station at the turn around, and it has Water and Elete. The course finishes at home plate of Hawks Memorial Stadium, via the parking lot entrance in left field/3rd base.

Registration

You can register at http://www.bluecirclesports.com/ for this race and all City of Trees Marathon Association Inc. Races. You may register at the Race, there are no guarantees that you will have a shirt available to you when you register, however one will be expedited and made for you following the race. The Race Director will contact you via e-mail when the shirt is available for pick up, (write your e-mail neatly at registration). Another little announcement: Last year the Car Show at Expo Idaho had some confused runners show up to register for the race, and found they were in the wrong line when they were asked the make and model of their car. If you are registering for the Fit For Life make sure you go to the Stadium and not to the Expo Idaho building. Ours is the one with Home Plate, not the one chrome plated.

Packet Pick Up

The Packet Pick-up is Wednesday July 10th, Noon to 7pm. from Shu’s Idaho Running Company 1758 W. State St. Boise Idaho.

You may pick up your packet the day of race, but if you remember last year the lines are long and are close to the race start time since it’s such an early race. If you live in town you are encouraged to attend the packet pick up.

Awards

We will do one award ceremony close to 10:30am. Please plan on sticking around and cheering for the half marathoners after you have completed your race, and enjoy the setting that the Boise Hawks have provided us. (NO DOGS ALLOWED inside the Stadium).

Awards will be given to the top three overall Male and Female Finishers from each race as well as age group winners in 5 year increments.

Prizes will be awarded during the awards participation. Half marathon medals will be given to all half marathon finishers.

If the technical fabric shirts are made in time, they will be available at the Packet Pick-up Wednesday. If they are late for any reason they will be passed out post race to pre-registered participants first. Late registrants and day of registration people are not guaranteed a shirt at the finish and may have to pick their shirt up at a later date.

All races are non-refundable, non-transferable. The City Of Trees Marathon Association Inc has the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason
